TAPEC Tiaki allowance and new teacher aides
The Teacher Aide Pay Equity Claim changes covering teacher aides are available to view in EdPay and draft SUE and will be paid on 4 November.
Tiaki allowance
If your school did not return its TAPEC spreadsheet in August, Tiaki allowances will not be set up for your teacher aides.
You can do this in EdPay from Tuesday, 10 November.

New teacher aides
If your school needs to hire a new teacher aide this term, there will be a short period of transition from 22 October to 24 November while we update the payroll system to the new scale.
From 24 November, the new grades and steps will be available in EdPay. Before then, please set up any new teacher aides using the current available grade and step, but manually type in the hourly rate that will apply under the new scale. We will ensure your new employee is set up on the new grade and step that aligns with the hourly rate you've specified as soon as the payroll system is updated.
