Payroll calendar - it's a date

Our payroll calendar dates for 2021 are now live on the Novopay website (or you can download a printable copy here).

Teacher aide increments due

Teacher aides will begin to automatically progress to the next work matrix step on the anniversary of their job start date. If you are restarting a teacher aide whose original job-start date was between January and May, please check whether they are due an increment. If they would be due an increment but are ineligible to progress (due to performance concerns or because they are Grade BC step 5 and their work remains solely within work matrix B), please send a NOVO 31 form with subject line "Defer". If they are due an increment, you don't need to do anything.

SAT team at all-staff meeting from 2.30pm on Thursday 17 December

Our SAT teams will be closing early (at 2.30pm) for an all-staff meeting on Thursday 17 December but will be available on the phones, as usual, on Friday morning at 9.30am.

Our hours over the break

Our SAT team will be answering the phones during the normal phone hours (9.30am - 3.30pm) over the break on all weekdays that are not national public holidays (21-24 December, 29-31 December) and will be back to normal from 5 January onwards.

Tell us who to contact during the break

Thanks to everyone who has already provided a contact during the break. If not, we'll need the name, email address and phone number of your school's lead payroll administrator (or principal) in case we need to check your EoY information after schools have closed (as your school's number probably won't be answered then). If you've already told us, you don't need to do anything. Otherwise email the contact details to support@novopay.govt.nzwith 'out of hours contact' in the subject line.

Reminder: Timesheet only employees and public holidays

Timesheet only employees who are eligible for public holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day and New Years holiday) will be paid these in pay period 20, based on their timesheets paid in Pay Period 18 and Pay Period 19. This is the only time we automatically pay public holidays to these employees.
