Stop pay
Education Payroll no longer offers stop pays, as of 20 April 2022.
These would stop the pay going through for an employee who was about to be overpaid, or who should not be paid at all, as identified in the final SUE report on the Tuesday before pay day.
The employee’s pay would be stopped at the bank, so that it was not paid into their bank account on Tuesday night.
Note: Employee pay slips did not reflect correct details when a Stop pay was actioned.
